CAMPING...A Big Part of Scouting!

Troop 157 averages one camping experience per month.  We spend time at Camp Euchee and Camp Jambo at Spanish Trails Scout Reservation

While a scout, you will learn camping skills and have the opportunity to experience a wide range of outdoor activities. There are local camps that we visit such as our Council camp, Spanish Trails Scout Reservation as well as other national camps such as Skymont.  We have also had scouts attend the National Jamboree, recently attending the National Jamboree celebrating 100 years of scouting. Camping weekends usually have a program theme, such as orienteering, cooking, wilderness survival, rank advancement, knots, first-aid, and many more exciting learning opportunities.

In the past, Troop 157 had the following experiences: Fall Camporree @ Euchee, North Karick Lake, Blackwater, Haunted Tent, Wilderness Survival, Jr. Walton Pong, Zip Lining @ Adventures Unlimited, Winter Camp, Ice Skating, SNOW WX, Olustee Civil War Reenactment, USS Alabama, Greenbar, Spring Camporee, Euchee, New Scout Campout, Scout-O-Rama, Atmore MB Clinic, Parking Lot Sale @ the Legion, Summer Camp at Skymont, Falling Waters & Ecofina Canoe Trip, Cape San Blas Scalloping, and the Fall Council Camporee. See the calendar for future events and experiences.
